Hendersonville Holiday Artist Market closes Sat.

The 2009 Holiday Artist Market at the Arts Council of Henderson County will close on Saturday, December 19.

The Samuel Neill Gallery at The Arts Council of Henderson County, 538 North Main Street, 2nd Floor in downtown Hendersonville is the Markets location.&bsp; There are special gallery hours, Monday through Saturday, from 1 to 5 p.m., to accommodate holiday shoppers.

This shopping experience includes photographs by Wesley Corn and Jan and Walt Chase; bamboo art by Keiji Oshima; jewelry designed by Kim Adams, Barbara Stock and Kate Stockman; and stained glass created by Diane Fitzgerald and Cheryl Stippich.

Other participating artists include local and regional favorites like Janet Jacobson, Susan Barrett (award winner at both the 2009 Bring Us Your Best and Art on Main shows), Maxine Tatreau, Susan Webb Tregay, Leslie Lil Lauer, Beverly Gable, Kenneth D. Peterson, Connie Vlahoulis, Susan Welsh, Ben Freeman, and Samuel Elliott.
