The Upstairs Artspace celebrates New Years Eve this year with a festive party for the community on Thursday, December 31, 7 p.m. to midnight.

The evening includes heavy hors-douvre, wine and beer, decorations and decorative masks.

Saxophonist Ray Jackson will blow a mix of jazz, soul, blues and pop music. Everyone is invited to join friends and neighbors to ring in 2010. Dress is casual.

This will be pure Upstairs–not too fancy, not too funky, says Margot Carter, vice president of the Board of Directors. You can drop by for awhile, or stay the evening. Mainly, we want to give people a fun place to go on a special night.
