Polk County Memorial VFW Post #9116 & Ladies Auxiliary have teamed up with Carolina First Bank in Columbus to honor and display a Christmas Tree with poppies and pictures of Veterans that have served or are serving in the military.

They request that locals who wish to include a picture on the tree email a picture to jbpreston99@yahoo.com or drop one off at Carolina First Bank.

Joyce Preston or Scott Camp say they would be glad to come take a picture if you do not have one to display and are unable to travel to the bank on Thursday, December 10, to take pictures from 2 p.m. until closing.

All original pictures will be returned after being scanned. Uniformed dress pictures are not required – just name and branch of Service.
