Polk County Schools Preschool program held a staff development training on October 30, led by Forbes/Tryon Elementary preschool teacher Amanda Van Duyne, that focused on making discovery bottles. These learning tools help to develop preschoolers observation skills, predictability, scientific concepts, and thinking skills. The teachers will use the bottles to teach a number of concepts that include common themes, speech sounds, math, science and general academics.
