More than 500 bikers participated in the Polk County Toy Run on Saturday to provide toys to those in need in the area this Christmas. The run started at the Saluda Fire Department around 1:45 p.m. and passed through Tryon, Landrum, Green Creek and Mill Spring, ending in Columbus at the county courthouse at around 2:45 p.m. Bikers dropped off toys, which will be donated to Steps to Hope, Thermal Belt Outreach and the Polk County Department of Social Services.
