Landrum to return many from 2009 squad

Many of the players who helped lead Landrum this year to a winning record and a second place finish in Region II-A will be back for the 2010 season.This years Cardinal squad, which finished 3-1 in the region, was led by nine seniors, but also received big contributions from many juniors and sophomores, including sophomore quarterback Brandon Cannon. Cannon threw for 1,151 yards and 14 TDs, and also was the teams second leading rusher with 777 yards.His top target, Tyler Logan, who finished with 422 yards and 8 TDs, is a junior.&bsp; David Hefner, another junior, had 9 catches for 90 yards and Cole McDowell, a sophomore, had 200 yards rushing and 72 yards receiving.The Cardinals also will have back their leading tackler from this season, junior lineman Antonio Barron, along with other top tacklers, Michael Allison, Kaleb Kuykendall and Landon Rhoden.Unfortunately, Landrum will be without the skilled services of leading rusher Tyler Burrell. The senior running back rushed for 1,002 yards and 9 TDs.&bsp; Look for more on Burrell and the teams other seniors in an upcoming edition of the Bulletin.
