N.C. Wildlife officer Toby Jenkins recently visited Polk Centrals
second grade. During the visit, Officer Jenkins shared information
about his job, local wildlife and plants as well as information about
their life cycles. Teacher Lori Dotson coordinated the visit and said
her students truly enjoyed learning about the plants and animals and
how Officer Jenkins uses science knowledge in his career. (photo
