Explore the Writers World at TFAC Nov. 19

On November 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. the Tryon Fine Arts Center presents the second in the Explore The Arts Series: Explore the Writers World. A panel of experts will give offer ideas and answer questions.
Betsy Teter, Executive Director of the nonprofit Hub City Writers Project in Spartanburg will talk about their programs and publications.
Norm Powers, whose career as a published writer has encompassed all genres, has been active in Hub Citys events and workshops. He will talk about the process of writing and read from his recently published novel, End Credits. Copies of the book will be available for Norm to sign.
Betsy Goree, owner of the Bookshelf and advocate for local writers, will explore the world of booksellers today as well as the world of self-publishing. She will present a display of books helpful to the writer.
Frances McCain and Jean Pettigrew will serve as moderators. Tickets will be available at the door.
The Tryon Fine Arts Center and the Lanier Library say they are excited about working together to explore Writing in the Foothills. On November 17 the librarys Brown Bag Lunch will feature seven local writers and their books.
