Barbara Sher gives free book reading, discussion tomorrow

Barbara Sher, a best-selling author and a career counselor who has been called the godmother of life coaching, will be at The Wine Cellar in Saluda Thursday at 7 p.m. for a free book reading and discussion.
Sher is a life coach who travels around the world speaking to those who cant get their life on track. She has written seven books that provide down-to-earth, nuts-and-bolts methods for uncovering natural talent, pinpointing goals and turning dreams into reality. Those books include:

Wishcraft: How To Get What You Really Want
Sher will be in Saluda to conduct a retreat for aspiring writers and speakers. The book reading and discussion, which is open to the public, will kick off the retreat.
She has also created five hour-long special programs for PBS public television that continue to air in cities around the United States.
In Saluda, Sher will be discussing and signing her first book, the New York Times best-seller, Wishcraft: How to Get What You Really Want. First published in 1979, it has become a classic, selling over one million copies in more than a dozen translations. In addition to its popularity with readers, Wishcraft is used as the text for university classes all over the world and is a standard handbook for career counselors, coaches, social workers and teachers.
In 2009 Wishcraft celebrates its 30th year in print with special events around the world.
