Paul Aime Michaud

Born in Exeter, N.H., he was the son of the late George and Lydia Lafrance Michaud. Mr. Michaud was the widower of Isabel May Michaud, who died in 2005.

He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #250 and a life member of VFW Post 10349. Mr. Michaud moved to Polk County in 1989 from Exeter, N.H. He was a member of Columbus Baptist Church., Columbus.

Surviving is one brother, David Michaud of Hopkinsville, Ky., and one sister, Lillian Woodman of Bradenton, Fla.. Also surviving are 19 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, with Rev. Robert Capps officiating.

Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, with military rites by Polk County Memorial Burial Squad.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.
