Mark your calendars for the 2009 Landrum Christmas Parade and Stroll. The annual event will take place on Thursday, Dec. 3. The parade will begin at 5 p.m. with the stroll to follow.

Rain or shine the parade route will be the same as last year. Line-up will begin at 4 p.m. at the Depot; continue down Trade Ave. and Rutherford St. and end at O.P. Earle Elementary.

For the second year LABA will award a scholarship to a deserving 2009 Landrum area high school senior. Last years recipient of a $500 scholarship was Ethan Wofford of Landrum High School.

The Landrum Christmas parade is one of the largest in the area with over 100 entries. Entry forms are available at the Mail Room, 156 North Trade Ave. and at City Hall.
