Enthusiasm for wire wrap has been so great that Tryon Arts and Crafts will offer the beginning wire wrap workshop one more time in 2009. This workshop will be held Saturday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This one-day workshop is designed to teach the basics of wire -wrap jewelry. Students will learn the basic techniques utilized in bending, twisting and shaping wire to make jewelry pieces. They will also learn about basic hand tools, different wires, finishing techniques (filing, tumbling, and cleaning wire), and stone hardness.

These basic techniques and designs will be utilized in many aspects of future jewelry making. If you have a special bead (s) with holes, please bring to utilize in a project at the end of the day. All tools and materials are furnished for a fee.
