Polk health department has seasonal, H1N1 vaccines

The Polk County Health Department on Walker Street in Columbus has the following flu vaccines available, according to the Rutherford-Polk-McDowell Health District.
Seasonal flu
The department has a limited amount of seasonal flu injectable vaccines for:
&ull; Children ages 6 months through 35 months
&ull; Children ages 4 years through 18 years of age
A limited amount of seasonal flu mist (nasal spray) is available for:
&ull; Children ages 2 years through 18 years
H1N1 flu
A limited amount of H1N1 injections are available for:
&ull; Pregnant women
&ull; People ages 6 months through 24 years of age
&ull; People ages 25 to 49 years of age who:
&ull; Care for infants under 6 months of age
&ull; Health care or EMS employees
H1N1 flu mist is available for:
&ull; People ages 2 years through 24 years of age
&ull; People ages 25 through 49 years of age who:
&ull; Live with or care for infants younger than 6 months of age
&ull; Health care workers or emergency medical personnel
These injections and/or flu mists are given Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The health department is out of seasonal flu vaccines for adults. The health district says it is not sure at this time when it will receive any more seasonal flu vaccines. &bsp;
The health district says it expects to continue to receive H1N1 vaccines at intervals. &bsp;
Please check with your local pharmacies and physician&squo;s office to see if they have seasonal flu vaccines. Some physician&squo;s offices have received H1N1 flu mist and injections. &bsp;
