Saluda Senior Center to host candidate forum Thursday

The Saluda Senior Center is sponsoring a candidates forum on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Saluda Senior Center, 64 Greenville Street, Saluda, N.C.
Candidates for mayor of Saluda, as well as candidates for the two open town commissioner positions, have been invited to attend.
The candidates for mayor are Fred Baisden, Rodney Gibson (incumbent) and John Morgan.&bsp; Candidates for the Saluda Board of Commissioners are Harold (Hop) Foster, Johnnie Kinard (incumbent), and George Sweet.
The purpose of the forum is to give candidates an opportunity to address important community and city issues. These issues involve a range of crucial matters that include growth and development, water, public safety, budget, etc.
The forum will be moderated by Henry Bright, a member of the Saluda Senior Center board of directors. Members of the audience and the news media will have an opportunity to ask candidates questions. All are invited to attend.
