Theres entertainment a-plenty at the Columbus Farm Festival this Saturday in downtown Columbus.
For example, the local band Hickory Grove will provide live music on the Polk County Courthouse Square near the Doughboy Statue starting at 11 a.m.
The five-member group, including Russ Jordan, Billie Jordan, Ray Mosley, Wanda McSwain and Kerry McSwain, will play a well-rounded selection of traditional and contemporary bluegrass, gospel and country music.
The band takes its name from Polks Hickory Grove Church Road where the group first gathered to pick a few tunes on a Sunday afternoon in 1993.
Hickory Grove has opened for the legendary Doc Watson and shared appearances with bluegrass artists like Wayne Henderson, Ronnie Reno and JD Crowe.
