Bertha T. Wilson
Born and raised in Polk County, she was the daughter of Mallie and Mamie Conner Thompson and the widow of Elmer &dquo;Doc&dquo; Wilson.
Mrs. Wilson worked in the textile industry and was of the Baptist faith.
She was predeceased by a son, Steve Wilson, and a daughter, Sherry Wilson Shults. Surviving are a daughter, Kay Wilson Pack (Ernest) of Tryon; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Wilson (Bill) of Lynn and Ruth &dquo;Sis&dquo; Hall of Landrum; a brother, Gene Thompson (Nelda) of Lynn.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2009 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.&bsp; Saturday, September 19 at Bible Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Tommy Turner.
Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens.
