Landrum will make the journey to Dixie High School this Friday, where two winless teams will attempt to get a W in their win column.
In the three Cardinal losses, they have averaged 12.3 points per game. The Hornets&squo; offense has been even more anemic, producing just 5.5 points per game.
Dixie (0-4) has not scored more than nine points in a game so far this season, and is coming off a 36-0 defeat at Crescent.
Last year, Dixie managed to get one of its only two wins for the season against Landrum, edging the Cardinals 22-21.
Although the Cardinals are also winless so far this year, they are coming off a tough battle against Polk County in which they showed an ability to play tough defense and execute solid offensive drives.
The Cardinals held Polk County scoreless in the second half of the game and had opportunities to draw closer before finally falling 21-14.
Defensively, Landrum was led by Antonio Barron, Xavier Marra and Rico Edwards with 11 tackles each. Barron had two tackles for a loss, while Marra and Edwards had one each and Marrs added a sack. The sack was Landrum&squo;s first of the season. Landrum also had its first interceptions of the season.
Through the first three games of the season, Barron leads Landrum with 30 tackles, followed by Marrs with 29, Landon Rhoden with 27 and Michael Allison with 26.
Following tonight&squo;s game at Dixie, Landrum has another non-conference game against Liberty at home before starting conference play at Whitmire.
