Polk County court results

In a Polk County Superior Court Administrative Session held last Thursday with Judge Mark E. Powell, 55 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or remanded to district court. The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Timothy Dale Gosnell was convicted of felony probation violation. Gosnell&squo;s probation was revoked with the sentence modified to 12 to 15 months.

Walden Edgar Searcy was convicted of simple assault. Searcy was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, $500 in restitution and court costs.

Cynthia Louise Wilkins was convicted of felony probation violation. Wilkins&squo; probation was revoked.

Terry Wilkins was convicted of felony probation violation. Wilkins&squo; probation was revoked.

Lisa Joy Wilson was convicted of two counts of felony probation violation. Wilson&squo;s probation was continued.&bsp;In Polk County District Court held last Wednesday with Judge Peter Knight presiding, 84 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Justin Brent Brooks was convicted of failure to wear seat belt-driver and driving after consuming under age 21. Brooks was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Brandi Chan Culpepper was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Culpepper was fined $25 and court costs.

Laura Vanduse Dacosta was convicted of driving while license revoked. Dacosta was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 12 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

David Benito Flores was convicted of no operator&squo;s license. Flores was fined $75 and court costs.

Glenn C. Hastings was convicted of driving while impaired. Hastings was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Roy A. Hipp was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Hipp&squo;s probation was revoked.

Tony Anthony Jackson was convicted of drive/allow motor vehicle with no registration. Jackson was to pay court costs.

Armando Claros Lemus was convicted of failure to report accident. Lemus was fined $25 and court costs.

Gary James Lindsay was convicted of speeding 103 m.p.h. in a 65 m.p.h. zone. Lindsay was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $103 fine and court costs.

Leah Mackenzie Naliboff was convicted of impaired equipment. Naliboff was fined $40 and court costs.

Gregory Perez-McElroy was convicted of speeding 95 m.p.h. in a 65 m.p.h. zone. McElroy was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $95 fine and court costs.

Jonathan Keith Poteat was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Poteat was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Clint Queen was convicted of impaired equipment. Queen was fined $40 and court costs.
