During the course, the group traveled as far afield as Charleston and to the Congaree Preserve near Columbia, as well as sites nearer to home and on FENCE property.
To maintain their certification, graduates must complete 30 hours of teaching and lecturing at nature education facilities, state parks and schools.
The next Master Naturalist course at FENCE will begin in September and continue through early December. Information can be found at the FENCE website, www.fence.org.
