Glenda Peterson

Ms. Peterson was the Wolverines Football Team grandma for the past four years as her grandson, Jacob Williams attended Polk Co. H.S. She traveled to every game, health permitting. She could be spotted in the background of various photos of the high school football Friday nights in the stands sitting in her wheelchair, cheering the Wolverines to victory. Then after every game, she would demand to be wheeled onto the field to congratulate the players. The home games were usually made complete as she would wait on each and every player by their entrance at the field house for her routine hug and high five from the players. If a player forgot, he was quickly reminded when &dquo;grandma&dquo; would call him out&ellip;, &dquo;Aren&squo;t you forgetting something?&dquo; No one got by her.

Ms. Peterson is survived by her daughter, Pamela Williams, and two grandsons, Jacob and Lucas Williams, all of Green Creek.

Memorials can be made to Petty Funeral Home, 124 N. Trade St., Landrum, S.C. 29356.
