In Polk County District Court held last Wednesday with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 95 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime (names are as given in court records):

Henry Marshall Marion was convicted of possession of marijuana up to &rac12; ounce. Marion was fined $25 and court costs.

Donald Gary McFalls was convicted of driving while impaired. McFalls was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Joshua Michael Yeomans was convicted of possession of marijuana up to &rac12; ounce. Yeomans was fined $25 and court costs.
