The driver was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Both lanes of traffic were temporarily shut down for a while, and many vehicles made U-turns and went back down the Grade to avoid the delay. One lane of traffic was opened at around 8:45 a.m., allowing traffic to begin moving gradually again, although drivers continued to report long delays. Traffic was still backed up to close to the N.C. welcome center as of 1 p.m. and traffic was backing up on Hwy. 108 in Columbus as some drivers apparently looked for alternative routes. Around 1:15 p.m., officials said they planned to open both lanes of traffic for a while to relieve some of the congestion before having to close both lanes to remove the truck, which had been moved to the side of the road. Information was not available on the contents of the trailer.&bsp;&bsp;
