Habitat store painting plans on hold: city approval required

Several years ago, Landrum City Council developed an architectural review board which approves or denies any planned work to a building in certain districts that would significantly change the appearance of the building.

Habitat plans to paint the outside brick of the three buildings which house its thrift store.

Wolochowicz says the earliest the review board could meet would be the end of this month. The review board will give final approval for the painting of the brick or deny the organization&squo;s request.
