Fortenberry crowned Miss Polk County High School

Contestant Meghan Magin told jokes as a ventriloquist, with her little brother playing the role of the ventriloquist dummy.
Other winners Saturday night included Jazmine Bridgeman, who won Miss Congeniality; Riley Gillespie, second runner-up; Kailey Russell,&bsp; third runner-up and Ashley Lynch, fourth runner-up.
The pageant had 14 contestants, who competed in casual wear, talent, formal wear and interviews. On Saturday, all contestants met with the judges for tea and had interviews with the judges.
The five finalists answered a randomly selected question onstage from the judges. Questions varied from what the contestant would say to a teenager who was thinking about dropping out of school to what advice the contestant would give to an upcoming freshman at Polk County High School.
Louis Rossi served as master of ceremonies at the pageant.&bsp; Entertainment was provided by Dance Dynamics in Tryon, and Polk County High School Principal Aaron Greene crowned Fortenberry. Fortenberry received a crown, sash, bouquet of roses and a professional portrait for winning the title.
