The Green Team, a student lead environmental club, has initiated and maintained a recycling effort at the Polk County High School for the past two years. &bsp;

Last year, the team was given sixty curbside bins from All Bright Sanitation.&bsp; The bins went into every classroom in the school. &bsp;

Once a week the paper filled bins are collected and emptied into a dumpster to be taken to a Materials Recovery Center in South Carolina.&bsp; This year, they participated in the Big Sweep and continued their recycling effort at the high school.

The Green Team warmly invites the community to bring a picnic or enjoy their baked goods at an afternoon in celebration of Earth Day.
