She was born June 20, 1920 to Arnold H. and Plina Capps Williams in Tryon. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank E. Strider; a sister, Bertha W. Smith of Tryon; and a brother, Bob Williams of Hendersonville, Tenn.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Hendersonville First Baptist Church, with Rev. Wally Shamburger officiating. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
