Two residences have been broken into in Tryon recently that are similiar to other area crimes in recent months.

On March 31, a house was broken into on Glenwalden Circle, where jewelry was taken, according to Tryon Police Chief Jeff Arrowood. Another house the same week was broken into on Red Bird Lane, but nothing was taken, Arrowood said.

The crimes have the same method and times of day as recent cases in Columbus and Landrum. The crimes are occurring during the day and doors or windows are broken to enter the homes, according to police reports.
