She was born in Elgin, Ill., the daughter of the late Dorrell and Laura Thelander, and had been a Polk County resident for the last ten years. A devoted horseperson and adept rider, she and her husband raised Arabians for many years. She was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her devoted husband of over 35 years, Seymour Noren; two sons, Dale Thelander of Reseda, Calif.; Scott Noren and his wife Michelle of Ithaca, N.Y.; a daughter, Cara Kowalczyk and her husband Robert of Santa Clarita, Calif., and six grandchildren.
