Cash (2-0) pitched a complete game, struck out 13 batters and gave up only one unearned run to lead Polk to a 3-1 conference victory against the visiting Vikings.

Polk coach Ty Stott mentioned one reason for Cash&squo;s success on the hill.

&dquo;He seems to be hiding the ball pretty well. [Batters] aren&squo;t reacting to it too well,&dquo; he said.

It also doesn&squo;t hurt that his fastball is nearly 90 mph.

Cash also hit a home run that proved to be the difference in the game. J.P. Ruth and Tyler Philpott each had an RBI.

Polk remained undefeated in the Western Highlands Conference, at 3-0, and improved their overall record to 7-1.
