The Polk County library also has a large selection of space-themed books and audio visual materials on hand and available for check out to help future astronauts and astronomers learn even more about the solar system.
&dquo;This is an amazing learning opportunity for our local children and we hope a great many of them will have a chance to experience the Explorer Dome,&dquo; says children&squo;s librarian Joy Sharp. &dquo;We also hope that this library visit reminds families that the library offers a wide variety of educational and entertaining programming and materials year round. And Kidsenses is a real treasure for children and families located right down the road in Rutherfordton.&dquo;
