Vaughn T. Hall

Born December 3, 1929, in Madison County, N.C., he was the son of Letha Hensley Hall of Weaverville, N.C., and the late Otis Hall. He was retired from W. N. Kirkland, Inc. He was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church of Pacolet, and a U.S. Army veteran and POW of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife of 59 years, Blanche Penley Hall; two daughters, Yavonne Colpetzer and Lisa Steadman, both of Boiling Springs, S.C.; four sons, Ronald Hall and Ricky Hall, both of Boiling Springs, Randy Hall of Roebuck, S.C., and Rodney Hall of Landrum; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juda Edwards of Weaverville, N.C., and Jane Cheek of Virginia Beach, Va.; and two brothers, Edward Hall of Marshall, N.C., and Gary Hall of Shelby, N.C. He was predeceased by a great-grandson; a brother, Melvin Hall; and a sister, Savada Fender.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 at Floyd&squo;s Boiling Springs Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Andrew Carrigan and Chaplain Theodore Prasatek. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens.
