&dquo;I was so taken by his passion to make a difference for cancer survivors, that when I got home, I got plugged in. I got the bug,&dquo; he said.

Cash began raising money for the Palmetto Peloton Project, which supports the Greenville Hospital System oncology center. He became the top fundraiser for the project for the past three years.

He decided upon the Saluda Grade as a sufficiently challenging fundraiser course while riding up the grade recently. He was thinking of a friend who died of cancer and decided the Saluda Grade would be the site of his next ride.

All riders are invited to join Cash for one trip up the grade, or all ten.
