Polk&squo;s starting pitcher, Brandon Jolley, pitched three scoreless innings to begin the game, while the Wolverine hitters put up four runs in the bottom of the second.

Jolley surrended two runs in the fourth inning, only one of which was earned, and Polk head coach Ty Stott turned to sophomore closer Lucas Cash in the fifth. Cash handcuffed the visiting Eagles for the remainder of the game, striking out six of eight batters in his 2 1/3 innings of relief.

Meanwhile, Polk added three runs in the bottom of the fifth. Jolley and Justin Harris each collected an RBI as the Wolverines pushed their lead to 7-2.
