Council on Aging contributes $75k to new senior center

Polk commissioners announced on Monday the receipt of a $75,000 contribution for the county&39;s new senior center purchase and renovation project. The money was given by the Polk County Council on Aging to help the county purchase and renovate the former Carolina Classical School in Columbus to move the current Meeting Place out of the Jervey Palmer building.
