Mac was born in 1923 in the small community of Goldmine outside of Franklin, N.C. He also lived in Pontiac, Michigan and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He served in the military as a sergeant in the Marines. He retired after 32 years of service at the State Farm Insurance Co. as an independent agent. He was a kind, loving and honest man that served the Lord and was loved by those who knew him.
Mac leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Barbie; son John (Brenda); daughter Jill; sister Georgie (Lewis); stepchildren Laurie (David), Leigh (Jack), Mark, seven grandchildren, Lindsay (Jayme), Christopher, Casey (Jason), Courtney, Olivia, Alexa and Jackson. We will sorely miss our Mac and thank our Lord for blessing us with his presence.
