He was the son of the late Alfred and Allie Rhee Walker Edwards and husband of the late Faye M. Edwards.

He was a member of Landrum First Baptist Church and retired from Lyman Printing & Finishing. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

He is survived by a daughter, Judith Bonomo and husband Joseph of Brevard; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sybil Mason of Greer and Mildred Bradley of Columbia.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2008 at Petty Funeral Home.&bsp; Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Rev. Stephen Moore and Rev. Tommy Owen.&bsp; Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Landrum First Baptist Church Building Fund, 300 E. Rutherford St., Landrum, S.C. 29356.
