The Town of Tryon has a new interim town manager.

Tryon Town Council held a special meeting Monday and approved hiring Justin Hembree, a former assistant Henderson County Manager.

Hembree will begin part-time employment this month. He is scheduled to be in Tryon tomorrow and Friday this week. Plans are for Hembree to work some in Tryon this month and begin full-time employment in February.

The town is taking permanent manager applications until next month with plans for council to begin interviewing candidates in March.
