Mary Byler

Born Oct. 7, 1921, in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Green Jefferson and Corrie Chapman Martin and wife of the late Arthur V. Byler. She was retired from Raycord Company and a member of Second Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two step-sons, Daniel Byler of Campobello and Bob Nagel of Boiling Springs, S.C.; two step-daughters, Bonnie Landers of Chesnee, S.C., and Linda Rubino of Beaver Falls, Pa.; two sisters, Oree McCraw of Columbia, S.C., and Hester McGinnis of Cowpens, S.C.; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a great neice; and a nephew, R.B. Scruggs. She was predeceased by one great-grandchild, Jillian Landers, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 at 3 p.m. in Floyd&squo;s Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Steven H. Rhodes and the Rev. Gordon Raynall. Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
