A native of Landrum, she was the daughter of the late Andy and Bertha Splawn Laughter and wife of Melvin Paul Finch.

She was the owner of Finch&squo;s Cloth Shop until her retirement and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Scott Finch of Landrum, Mike Finch of Spartanburg; a daughter, Cindy Finch Thornton of Spartanburg; a brother, Bob Laughter of Landrum; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Bud Laughter and John T. Laughter.

Funeral services were held at

1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jim Oliver.&bsp; Burial was in Westwood Memorial Gardens.
