Mary Howard

A native of Chesnee, S.C., she was the wife of Charles Milton Howard and was born in Gaffney to Elizabeth Millwood Jolley and the late Harry Burton Jolley.

Howard was a member of Chesnee First Baptist Church. She had a great love for the medical profession and caring for people. She practiced her profession for 29 years; first at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for 20 years and for the past nine years as office manager at Upstate Lung and Critical Care Specialists.

Surviving along with her husband and mother are a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Seay Todd of Union, S.C.; two grandchildren; a sister, Harriette Elizabeth Hipp of Boiling Springs, S.C.; a brother, Buddy Burton Jolley II of Lynchburg, Va.; two nieces; and her mother and father-in-law.

Services were held at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens Chapel Wednesday, Dec. 17,&bsp; with Dr. Troy Gregg officiating. Burial was at Frederick Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the Mary Etta Howard Memorial College Fund, care of Wachovia Bank, P.O. Box 5707, Spartanburg, S.C. 29304 for her grandsons.

Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens was in charge of arrangements.
