Lee Bristol

A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Margaret Phillips Bristol and husband of the late Frankie Mae Mease Bristol.
He was a member of Landrum First Baptist Church, Landrum Lodge #278, Scottish Rite Bodies, Shriner & Jester in Hejaz Temple, past commander in Hejaz Air Squadron and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Paul E. &dquo;Ricky&dquo; Bristol and Doug Bristol, both of Morganton; a daughter, Starr Bragg of Maryville, Tenn.; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Kenny Bristol.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at Petty Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Jimmy Camp.
Burial was at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Valleytown Cemetery, Andrews, N.C., conducted by Rev. Jimmy Rogers.
