Here&squo;s an idea for holiday gift-giving, and one that will benefit Therapeutic Riding of Tryon (TROT), a therapeutic horse riding program for special needs children and adults in Polk, Rutherford, Spartanburg and Greenville counties.
&uot;Tryon Style&dquo; provides a tour in photographs and text of the Foothills&squo; unique bond between horses and humans. It&squo;s full of fascinating stories and anecdotes of Foothills history: how the U.S. Olympic Team came to Tryon, a complete history of the historic Block House Steeplechase, a history of Harmon Field (including who&squo;s buried there).
&uot;Tryon Style&uot; includes photography by Erik Olsen, Elizabeth Sher, Mark Lehner, and others as well as historic photographs that have never before been published.
A portion of the purchase price of each book is a tax deductible contribution to TROT.
Books will be available for pickup or shipping in early December. For more information, call FENCE.&bsp; 828 859-9021.
