The explosive Victoria McDowell and tough and scrappy Kelly Mullins will anchor a Lady Cardinal basketball team that is looking to make waves this season in Region II-A.

Mulllins is a tough leader for the Lady Cardinals who finds a way to drive the ball and score. McDowell is a scrappy, quick player who feeds off of good defense.

The Lady Cardinals are also returning Canaan Bivens, Morgan Williams, Rosaruth Parton and Jordan Jenkins from last year&squo;s team. Jenkins played solid basketball down the stretch last season, especially in the playoffs.

A player returning to play basketball for the Lady Cardinals after a year off is Jordan Corn. Corn is a senior and will definitely contribute. Another newcomer to watch is Elizabeth Edmundson. Alisha Belue will return after a tough injury last season.&bsp; Other players are Briana Bateman, Meghan Pitts, and Chloe Walters. Landrum was 15-10 last season.
