Robert Huntley

Born in New York, N.Y., he was the son of the late Donald Arthur and Marion Acker Huntley.&bsp; Mr. Huntley was one of the first individuals to receive a general contractor&squo;s license in the state of Florida and was an advocate and teacher for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross, Tryon, and a former member of St. Paul&squo;s By-The-Sea, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.

Surviving are: his wife, Leslie G. Huntley; a son, William W. Huntley (Cynthia) of Dunedin, Fla.; two daughters, Rebecca Huntley of Spindale, and Ruth Huntley Sensale (Michael) of Miami, Fla. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Carolyn, Leslie, Katherine, Joseph, Emily, Mary and Virginia. &bsp;

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008 in the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross, Tryon, with the Reverend Dr. Michael Doty and the Reverend DeeAnn deMontmollin officiating.

Interment will be at a later date at St Paul&squo;s By-The-Sea, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
