Construction began at the beginning of this year on the 12-bed inpatient facility, and is expected to be complete before the end of the year. Hospice received many donations from the community to make the project possible. Hospice says it received donations from more than 500 community sources while surpassing its fundraising goal last year of $3.5 million. Area churches also helped fund a Hospice House Chapel. The facility, expected to cost more than $5.5 million, will provide a &uot;home away from home&uot; for terminally ill patients who can no longer stay at home. Hospice House will provide skilled, &uot;round the clock care in a private home-like setting.&uot; The 18,500-square-foot Hospice House is located on a 14-acre site on Fairwinds Road. &bsp;
