Landrum falls to Chesnee
Mistakes put Landrum in a hole on Thursday night. Landrum’s football game with Chesnee was moved up to Thursday night with bad weather from Tropical Storm Hanna looming.
The Cardinals lost the rare Thursday night matchup to the Eagles 40-0. The Cardinals fumbled three times and threw one interception.
“You don’t turn the ball over as many times as we did and expect to be in the game,” Landrum coach Russell Mahaffey said.
The Cardinals were led by Tyler Burrell who rushed for 71 yards.
Landrum will play at Polk County next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
