Landrum High School has named Don Miller as the interim head coach for Landrum baseball.Landrum felt it was in their best interest to name an interim coach for the baseball team after Travis Henson left for North Greenville University, Landrum athletic director John Cann said.
Miller has coached for 23 years at Mauldin, Riverside and Tamassee-Salem. He compiled a 332-161 record as a head coach.
“We feel very fortunate to get coach Miller on board,” Cann said. “He has a ton of experience working with high school kids and has been very successful in his career.”
Landrum will open up the search for a fulltime coach in the spring of next year. According to Cann, the timing of Henson’s departure didn’t leave a lot of options as for a replacement.
