Born on Jan. 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Philemon Dickinson and Mildred Dulany Dickinson of Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, Pa. Devoted mother of Linda, Winifred Goss, Richard and James, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann Meredith Parish and sisters, Mildred Morris and Phyllis Matthews. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. &bsp;

Ann was active in many humane societies and was instrumental in passing legislation to prevent cruelty to animals, while an enforcement officer for the ASPCA of Westchester. As an avid horsewoman and foxhunter, she was the founder of Goldens Bridge Hounds Pony Club and was a Regional Supervisor for the USPC Metropolitan region. She was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church, North Salem, N.Y. and Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Tryon. &bsp;

4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2 at Petty Funeral Chapel, Landrum, conducted by Father Michael Doty.&bsp; The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, White Marsh, Pa.
