Polk County Emergency Medical Services was called to a two-vehicle crash at 7:51 p.m. Wednesday on Hwy. 9 South in Green Creek. The accident reportedly occurred about a half mile north of the state line.

Three people were transported to hospitals, according to EMS, two by helicopter and one by ambulance.

One person was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and another taken by ambulance. One person was airlifted to Mission Hospital according to EMS.

As of yesterday, one person had been released and one was listed in critical condition.

Neither the names of the persons involved nor any other details of the accident had been released by press time yesterday.
