Born April 7, 1928, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late James Roy and Laura Jane Melton Walker and the wife of the late William Marion Bryant. She was a retired nurse&squo;s assistant with Magnolia Manor Nursing Home and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church (now North Spartanburg Free Will Baptist Church).

Survivors include three sons, William T. Bryant of Spartanburg, Gus Bryant of Chesnee, and John Bryant; three daughters, Jerri B. Williams of Spartanburg, Diana B. Gray of Frisco, Texas, and Jane B. Spauffer; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Graveside services were held Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Edward Bryant.
